报告摘要：The lecture course is about delay differential equations. These equations are used to describe processes whose rate of change depends not only on the current state of the system, but also on its previous states. We discuss some properties of these equations. In the first lecture we consider several biological models described by delay differential equations. In the second lecture we discuss the properties of solutions to the models such as nonnegativity, boundedness and stability of stationary solutions. The third lecture is devoted to obtaining estimates for solutions to delay differential equations using Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals. In the last lecture we consider the applications of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals to several biological models.

个人简历：Mariia A. Skvortsova是俄罗斯新西伯利亚国立大学副教授，俄罗斯科学院Sobolev数学研究所高级研究员，物理数学科学副博士，毕业于俄罗斯科学院Matrosov系统动力和控制理论研究所。研究领域包括常微分方程、延迟方程和数值代数。发表了30多篇高水平文章。
