报告摘要:This talk discusses some opportunities and challenges associated with planning last-mile freight delivery systems with autonomous UAVs. We first briefly show how to minimize the last-mile delivery cost and energy consumption by UAVs, with explicit consideration of mid-air congestion and continuous traffic equilibriumin large-scale operations.This talk then focuses on planning UAV delivery systems that are based on stationary or mobile launching sites. In the latter, a truck carries goods and a fleet of drones around the neighborhoods of customers, while the drones are dispatched from the truck to perform the last-mile delivery. Partial differential equations (PDEs) are formulated to describe the optimal drone routing and truck-drone synchronization strategies under aerial traffic congestion. Customized solution algorithms will be briefly described. The PDE solution is then used to evaluate the operational cost of UAV delivery systems and further to provide the basis for optimizing service design decisions. Numerical experiments are conducted to show the applicability of the proposed modeling framework, and to draw managerial insights for logistics carriers.

个人简历:欧阳彦峰,博士,兼职教授、博士生导师。

现任美国伊利诺伊大学香槟分校(UIUC)著名的 George Krambles教授、Paul Kent学者和Donald Willett学者,美国伊利诺依大学交通研究中心副主任,哈尔滨工业大学智慧交通研究院院长。欧阳彦峰教授长期从事交通系统工程、物流及旅客运输规划、可持续城市管理等方面的研究工作,建立了一系列新的交通管理理论模型与基于互联网+的交通管理技术。连续多年在多个学术机构及学会担任领导职务,现担任IIE Transactions, Networks and Spatial Economics, Transportation Research Part B, Transportation Research Part C, Transportation Science, and Transportmetrica B等学术机构/部门领导或期刊的主编/副主编。他的工作获得了美国规划协会颁发的技术研究优异奖,美国土木工程师协会颁发的Walter L. Huber研究奖,伊利诺斯州运输部颁发的“高影响力项目奖”、美国国家科学基金会颁发的“教师早期职业发展奖”等。
